A list of Don't to contemplate

There are many lists of do’s and don’ts around – here is a list of don’ts and don’ts to contemplate.

You don’t have to love everyone, but don’t hate anyone.

You don’t have to feed everyone, but don’t deny anyone food.

You don’t have to build, but don’t tear down.

You don’t have to be an author, but don’t destroy books.

You don’t have to agree, but don’t argue.

You don’t have to know everything, but don’t not consider the facts.

You don’t have to hang on to everything, but don’t litter.

You don’t have to be able to do everything, but don’t not take ownership for what you do.

You don’t have to love animals, but don’t cause any harm to them.

You don’t have to see evil, but don’t turn a blind eye when you do.

You don’t have to fight back, but don’t neglect your wounds.

You don’t have to love yourself, but don’t neglect to say thank you when complimented.

You don’t have to be highly qualified, but don’t act out of ignorance.

You don’t have to share, but don’t waste.

You don’t have to like how people behave, but don’t label them because of it.

You don’t have to be mild, but don’t bully.

You don’t have to keep quiet, but don’t merely complain.

You don’t have to ask for help, but don’t struggle alone.

You don’t have to be happy all the time, but don’t accept unhappiness as your fate.

You don’t have to shout your troubles out, but don’t keep them to yourself.

You don’t have to be perfect, but don’t think that you are not special.

You don’t have to like your job, but don’t expect to be paid for not adding value.

You don’t have to be an overnight success, but don’t fear success.

You don’t have to brag, but don’t not give yourself credit for your achievements.

You don’t have to cook well, but don’t not eat well.

You don’t have to understand all that is different, but don’t default to intolerance.

You don’t have to be responsible all the time, but don’t endanger others.

You don’t have to agree with this list of don’ts, but don’t not set your own boundaries.
